keeping our members informed of the latest developments in policy and current affairs relating to race relations in Europe
- providing a structure to channel the views of UK NGOs to EU decision- makers
- giving UK NGOs a chance to have their say on EU policy on race equality
- encouraging public debate about European issues affecting ethnic minorities and migrants
- raising awareness of the implications of the UK's membership of the EU and of the influence of the EU on race and migration issues in the UK
- providing a civil society perspective on race related issues in the UK and Europe
Our activities
UKREN works to:
- act as the UK branch of ENAR, relaying information from ENAR to our members and vice versa
- disseminate information through our newsletter, website and twitter
- produce briefing papers on European policy developments
- publish an annual shadow report on Racism in the UK
- organise national and regional topical seminars
